Your right to erasure under GDPR Article 17

Under GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure), you have the right to request deletion of your Riffly account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how.

Delete via the App (recommended)

  1. Open the Riffly app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Account section.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm with your password.

Deletion is processed immediately and covers all your personal data including your profile, sessions, reactions, audio files, social connections, and statistics.

Request Deletion by Email

If you no longer have access to the app, you can submit a deletion request by email:

Email: support@riffly.tv

Please include in your email:

  • The email address you used when registering
  • Subject line: “Account Deletion Request”

We will process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR Article 12(3).

What Gets Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Profile and account information (email, username, avatar)
  • All movie sessions and session history
  • Audio reactions and audio sync data
  • Reactions, votes, and ratings
  • Social connections (follows and followers)
  • User statistics and activity data
  • Authentication credentials

Important Notice

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you wish to use Riffly again, you will need to create a new account.
